The purpose of the MAX4 adapter board is to optimize electrical connections and improve stability and scalability.
Cautions for Use
Unplug the power: Never operate while powered. Turn off and unplug the printer, as residual standby current during hot-plugging can fry the boards.
Do not pull on wires: Grip the plastic connector itself or use tweezers to disconnect. Pulling wires directly causes internal breakage or poor contact.
